Protecting Our Neighborhood and Watershed from Industrial Development

We are a community of Arcata residents standing together to ensure that the proposed 180-foot cell tower near Shirley Boulevard is relocated to a more suitable area. We support strong, reliable cell service, but not at the cost of our neighborhood’s safety, beauty, and environmental health.

Thoughtful planning means placing towers where they serve the public without harming sensitive habitats, increasing fire risk, or lowering nearby property values. The current proposal threatens the integrity of the Grotzman Creek Watershed, a protected area home to wildlife, forests, and families.

Join us in shaping a solution that reflects the values of Arcata: environmental stewardship, public safety, and respect for community spaces. Together, we can advocate for smarter, safer infrastructure that benefits everyone.
